POKOTABI / PLACES WORTH A DETOUR
築地銀だこ あべのキューズモール店
Alongside its signature takoyaki, Gindaco’s Abeno Q's Mall branch serves options such as Negidako and Teritama, as well as sets with yakisoba. There are choices for different flavours and appetites.
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
Tsukiji Gindaco’s classic “Zettai Umai!! Takoyaki” is known for its contrast of textures: crisp on the outside, soft inside, with a springy piece of octopus. Some people who have eaten at this branch also mention the crisp exterior and soft centre, while one review found the takoyaki softer than at other Gindaco locations. Opinions on how crisp the outside is seem to vary. You could start with the classic to enjoy the textures, or choose one of the toppings if you want a more pronounced flavour.
For something fresher and lighter, try Negidako, topped with crisp green onion and served with grated daikon dipping sauce on the side. If you’re after a richer flavour, Teritama comes with teriyaki sauce and egg salad, while Cheese Mentaiko combines mentaiko mayonnaise with Parmesan and mozzarella.
If takoyaki alone won’t be enough, consider a set with yakisoba. One visitor ordered the sauce yakisoba, made with cabbage, bean sprouts and pork, and stir-fried with chewy medium-thick noodles in a rich but not overly heavy sauce. Sets with takoyaki (4 pieces) and a soft drink were also available.
Located in the food court on the 3 floor of Abeno Q's Mall, the branch offers both dine-in and takeaway. It’s an easy option whether you’re in the mood for a light serving of takoyaki or a more substantial meal with yakisoba.
